Cynthia Perez is a first generation Chicana Therapist and specializes in Re-Parenting the Inner Child, Increasing our Shame Resiliency and healing with self-compassion. It was in the season of the Covid-19 Pandemic, Cynthia unearthed her inner child and put their needs first. Cynthia is a mother of 3 and lives in Long Beach, CA. Working as a social worker for the last 12 years changed the way Cynthia viewed the world and she felt dragged down. One day she claimed, "I am more than just my job". It was in that moment she started uncovering multiple streams of JOY within her. She went back to the creativity that always gave her freedom: singing, dancing, swimming and writing.
Cynthia has is in a new season of self-love and writing, whether it's journal reflections, creating mental health workshops, or writing short narratives, when she creates something that is alive beyond just her thoughts, she is tapping into her inner child joy and can surrender to all that she as her own author. This is how she heals.
